Pop Toy Show (PTS) Beijing—officially the 2025 PTS北京国际潮流玩具展—came to the China National Convention Center this weekend, 1–3 August 2025, transforming the massive venue, initially created for the 2008 Beijing Olympics, into Pop Mart’s flagship designer-toy carnival.

Launched formally in 2021, PTS is Pop Mart’s testing lab, where tomorrow’s blind boxes are stress-tested on thousands of collectors before they ship worldwide. Since its 2021 debut, the shows have collectively featured over 500 artists and hosted over 300,000 visitors. This year’s theme—Back to Play—spotlights Pop Mart’s IP Hirono while mixing all the other Pop Mart mascots (Labubu, Molly, Skullpanda) with headline crossovers from Disney, Universal, and Bandai, and nearly a hundred other exhibitors.

The show’s real draw is its exclusive products (which, if you want them, you better have a VIP ticket, strong legs, mighty endurance, and backup batteries)—and, more generally, the fact it’s a preview of Pop Mart’s upcoming strategy and product rollout. Think of PTS as Pop Mart’s designer-vinyl comic-con.

Miss Beijing? The carnival is only half over. Pop Toy Show Singapore runs later this month from 22–24 Aug 2025 in Marina Bay Sands. (I’m going and plan on bloggig daily. Say hey—especially if you’re Pop Mart CEO Wang Ning!)

My PTS Beijing 2025 Wishlist

1. BlackMilk Art Lab × Pop Mart – Tiny Tiny “Mad Bunny” & “Magic Bunny”

Tiny Tiny “Mad Bunny” & “Magic Bunny” — Vinyl Ver. figures by Chujia Yin × Blackmilk Art Lab. Photo: Xiaohongshu user 415514044

Studio: BlackMilk Art Lab × Pop Mart
Artist: CJ (Chujia Jin)
Location: Hangzhou, China
Character: Tiny Tiny
Project Titles: “Mad Bunny” and “Magic Bunny”

Designed by CJ (Chujia Yin), these “Mad Bunny” and “Magic Bunny” figures reimagine Pop Mart’s new IP Tiny Tiny in fluffy bunny costumes: a blush‑pink suit with tiny stitches and a dark, spellbinding black version. The backstory remains the same: Tiny Tiny is a multi‑dimensional girl who slips between past and future worlds with a tattered bear named Pippi, and these rabbits hint at the stitched‑up dreams she collects. Each vinyl sports an embroidered bib emblazoned with “Tiny Tiny,” and it highlights how Pop Mart isn’t afraid to tread into Tim Burton-esque territory with its more forward-thinking Pop Design Center wing, where this IP originated.

2. Silent Trick – Angry Molly “Sample #1”

Studio: Silent Trick
Artist: Kenny Wong
Location: Hong Kong
Character: Molly
Project Title: “Sample #1”

Silent Trick and Kennyswork turned heads at PTS Beijing 2025 by unveiling “Angry” Molly’s first-ever plush, a hand-sized “Sample #1” that trades vinyl for velour without losing Angry Molly’s trademark scowl. But what exactly is Silent Trick? It’s a a tight, experimental studio that offers Pop Mart fresh IP ideas while leveraging Pop Mart’s global distribution once attention spikes. Quantities for “Sample #1” were limited, making this soft, merch-trial version of Molly one of the show’s more elusive grabs. I’d expect (or hope) Pop Mart to spin the partnership into a broader retail drop later this year.

3. Pop Mart – Hirono “Summer Time” and “Orange Soda”

Studio: Pop Mart
Artist: Lang
Location: Beijing, China
Character: Hirono
Project Titles: “Summer Time” and “Orange Soda” (below)
Prices: 299 RMB (~$41)

Pop Mart’s flagship character Hirono, created by Chinese artist Lang, centers the show at PTS Beijing this year. Launched by Pop Mart’s Pop Design Center just last year, the IP is now one of the brand’s leaders, with an immersive “Ono Station” installation at PTS. The entire booth is transformed into a nostalgic train station scene, complete with railroad tracks, tufts of wild grass, and a vintage ticket counter. The two products at the top of basically everyone’s lists are “Summer Time,” a PTS-exclusive nostalgic blind-box diorama (Chinese title 风吹盛夏) that poses a baby Hirono in a striped romper next to a mint-green desk fan, and “Orange Soda,” another retro edition that packages Hirono with tiny glass-bottles of orange soda inside a mint refrigerator.

4. Sooya Studio – Rabbit Ban “BANANA”

Studio: Sooya Studio
Artist: Kim Sooya
Location: Seoul, South Korea
Character: Rabbit Ban
Project Title: “BANANA”

Rising Korean artist Sooya rolls into PTS Beijing 2025 with a produce-stall series starring Ban, Sooya Studio’s signature mischief-maker. The soft-vinyl boy always sports an oversized bunny-ear hood and a magnetized themed prop on the back of his head. Earlier editions like Boo Ban feature a flocked sofubi body (~13 cm tall) with magnet-swivel face and arms, plus a removable accessory (sunglasses and the “BOO” letters). There are four PTS releases from Sooya in this series, but “BANANA” Rabbit Ban is probably the one I’d buy.

5. Twinkle Twinkle Popsicles

Artist: Da Xin
Origin: Beijing, China
Character: Twinkle Twinkle
Project Title: N/A
Price: Free

This year’s PTS Beijing carved out a “food court” that ranged from sweet to savory: MOLLY’s Dessert House (E15) dished up character-branded cakes and macarons; Taco Daily (E16) served quick Tex-Mex bites; MOLA Bread (E17) stacked fresh bakery treats; Qingbian (E18) teased grab-and-go snacks; Peng Coffee & Tea (E19) poured lattes and iced drinks; Hundred-Flavour Soup (E20) ladled hot comfort bowls; and even Domino’s Pizza (E21) turned up with slices. Despite the range, the food item netizens posted about the most was the photogenic Twinkle Twinkle popsicle set. Why were photos of it everywhere? They’re cute, but they were also free and handed out at check-in.

6. HOW2WORK – Little Peace

Studio: HOW2WORK
Artist: Kila Cheung
Origin: Hong Kong
Character: Little Peace
Project Title: N/A
Price: 700 RMB (~$97)

Little Peace continues the long-running “Twinkle Twinkle Little Guys” series by Hong Kong multidisciplinary artist Kila Cheung (張柱基), which pairs child-like figures with aggressively direct gestures. The hooded suit spells PEACE across the top, though the character still brandishes a dagger—a tongue-in-cheek reminder that true peace might require a little vigilance. But also, did he stab out his eyes? There are questions. I’ve been wanting one of these since I first saw them on Cheung’s Instagram. Viva HOW2WORK!

7. Pop Mart – Zimomo

Studio: Pop Mart
Artist: Kasing Lung
Origin: Hong Kong
Character: Zimomo from The Monsters
Project Title: N/A
Price: 1299 RMB (~$180)

Pop Mart saves its loudest cheer for The Monsters (of Labubu fame), where Kasing Lung’s flagship Zimomo steps up from blind-box to 10-in. statue. Cast in smooth vinyl, it happens to be a very similar colorway as the most expensive Labubu ever sold (and my Lafufu). With 2025 already dubbed the Year of Labubu—thanks to record sell-outs and a wave of crossover merch—Pop Mart uses Zimomo to broaden the storyline while keeping the spotlight on Kasing Lung’s universe. The piece is tagged show-exclusive; no wider retail rollout was announced, and Pop Mart has not disclosed edition size or production plans.
